Project Service To Others

RTOERO’s Project Service to Others is a program that enables local Districts to provide support to local community agencies/ programs and to demonstrate that RTO members care about their communities, and provide help others who need assistance. For the last two years District 11’s Board and members at large have been supporting the work of Food4Kids-Waterloo Region, to assist in the work of ensuring our most food insecure children have food in the cupboards of their homes. We know that the work is important, and we realize that many of our members have become strong and valuable volunteers through weekly packing of bins, delivering and making important donations. We know that this will continue for many of us.
District 11 Waterloo is looking for a local project to extend our work and support. We invite members to submit potential local charitable organizations for consideration for our next Project Service to Others. The selected project will be a two-year commitment, beginning in January 2021. We are looking for a community agency/program that we can support through volunteer efforts by interested members, and direct financial support.
Some examples include, but are not limited to:
Arts Enrichment
Literacy Community Outreach
Education Support (Literacy, ESL, Numeracy) Partnership Building
Early Years Intervention Environmental Appreciation
Health and Safety Indigenous Reconciliation
Promotion of Arts and Culture within the Community Social Isolation of Seniors
To make a suggestion for the next Project Service to Others, we ask you to complete this Submission Form.
Thank you for your support of this important initiative.
